Your life is definitely more important. Your pride can heal over time, you have but one life. Besides, "teachability" is much more important. Pride can lead you down roads you don't want to go. Thanks for the very clear, and true statement. I just have to realize everyone is different, just because someone else is aggressive or knows how to do karate, etc doesn't mean I can or will. I've been faced with blades before but I wasn't scared but in this case, I finally cared about my life which made me nervous to lose it. I really don't wish any harm on anyone but the way they're doing things, they are bound to run into someone with lethal weapon worse then their knife. I do however worry about seeing my gf now, how will we meet, where would we hang out, etc. Eh I guess where there is a will, there's a way.

I can't imagine exactly what you went through as I have never been robbed. But I challenge you not to live life in fear. Many people are trapped in it and miss out on many things. Though it is wise to be prudent about how you will see your girl friend, you shouldn't fear being mugged around every corner. There are many things I can fear in life, but I choose not to so that I can enjoy it more fully. So can you.
